Age verification

How do you know that the person placing an order is 18 or older?

When purchasing products from swedishmatch.ch, cardholders must be 18 or older to enter into a contract with us. Upon delivery with UPS, we also verify the recipient’s name by matching it with the name of the cardholder. Read more about how we verify the age of the person placing an order here.

Order

In what countries can I buy snus online from Swedish Match?

To purchase products from swedishmatch.ch, you must live in Switzerland. If you live in Sweden, you can purchase our products from swedishmatch.se. Swedish Match does not deliver online snus orders to countries outside Sweden and Switzerland. 

I live in Switzerland. Is it legal for me to buy snus from swedishmatch.ch?

Yes. The sale of oral tobacco (snus) is banned in the Swiss market, but this does not apply to private import for personal use. The Swiss customs authorities have issued guidelines for how much snus a person is allowed to import into Switzerland for personal use. According to these guidelines, you are permitted to purchase up to 1.2 kg every two months.

Can companies order from swedishmatch.ch?

No. We only accept orders from private individuals.

How do I place an order?

Search or click on Buy snus to find the product you wish to purchase. For each product, you can choose to place an order or start a subscription. You will then be able to review your order when you proceed to the checkout, where you will also have the option to change the interval of your subscription.

I have not received an order confirmation. What should I do?

Certain e-mail clients, such as Hotmail, Live Mail and Outlook, have trouble telling the difference between spam and genuine e-mails. Check your spam folder to see if your order confirmation is there. If it isn’t there, contact our customer service.

Delivery

How long does delivery take?

The cheapest delivery option we offer is Delivery to Mailbox. This means we send your snus in a normal mail package from our factory via the Swedish company PostNord, which is then passed on to Swiss Post who will deliver the package to your mailbox/milkbox. Delivery takes approximately three to five business days per package.

For buyers who wish to have their snus delivered as quickly as possible, and with the option of tracking their order, we offer home delivery via UPS (Standard and Express), who will deliver your package from our factory in Sweden directly to your door. Delivery with UPS Express takes approximately one to three business days.  Delivery with UPS Standard takes approximately four to six business days.

Why was my package delivered to a postal outlet instead of my mailbox?

Some doors have such small mail slots that it is difficult to deliver ten cans of snus. A package contain ten cans has the following dimensions: 35x24x2.7. If you believe your package can delivered through your mail slot, please contact customer service and we will inform our logistics partners PostNord and Swiss Post.

How old is the snus?

All snus from swedishmatch.ch is delivered not more than five weeks before its best-before date.

What brands do you sell?

We sell snus from the entire Swedish Match range, including General, Göteborgs Rapé, Ettan, Grov and Catch. You can find more information about all of our brands here.

The snus product CUT will also be added to our range in the near future.
